Scanning Probe Microscope

Our group has installed a multifunctional scanning probe microscope (Molecular Imaging, PicoPlus) for the analysis of nanostructures at surfaces in collaboration with three other research groups of Ghent University (name+link). The microscope operates under ambient conditions and is equipped with two scanners (100×100 µm2 and 10×10 µm2) and a heating stage for contact, non-contact and current sensing AFM measurements and MFM operation. It has a 3×3 µm2 scanner for STM operation. The system is accessible for to everyone in search of an ambient SPM for surface characterization (contact the SPM manager).
