Synthesis Lab

PCN has a synthesis laboratory for the formation of colloidal quantum dots with two coupled glove boxes (MBraun, München, Germany), 3 home-built Schlenck lines (up to 7 syntheses in parallel), four centrifuges (eppendorf 5804, Hamburg, Germany). One of the centrifuges and an oven are installed in the glove boxes, which allows for synthesis, processing and storage of nanoparticles under water and oxygen free conditions.  

Hot injection or heating-up syntheses can be performed in our lab on several scales (5 up to 500 ml) using classic heating mantles or an IR-oven for faster heating and better temperature control.

A preparation laboratory is available for pre-characterization of the samples. It provides two glove-box (GP Concept Jacomex, Dagneux, France) and 3 fume-hoods.
